The veteran actress Asha Parekh would love to see Deepika Padukone in the remake of her film and Priyanka Chopra dancing on 'Aaja aaja'

Asha Parekh is known for speaking her mind. During an event recently, she was at her candid best. When asked who among the present actresses could step into her shoes in Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), she quipped `Deepika Padukone` without batting an eyelid.

Parekh further said, `I think she is a fantastic actress.`


When asked which one of her hit songs she would want to be redone, she promptly mentioned Aaja aaja main hoon pyaar tera from Teesri Manzil (1966). She also has her favourite candidate for the same. `I would love to see Priyanka Chopra dancing to that song.`

While talking about cinema in general, the veteran actress mentioned that actors these days are putting in a lot of hard work, but she is not too happy with the music in the movies these days.
