Almost immediately after that he also decided to put on his dancing shoes with his wife and participated in the sixth season of celebrity dance show Nach Baliye. Working almost round the clock while juggling his shows the 38 year old actor/comedian is having the time of his life.
Ask him about why he decided to do something different after a long stint with F.I.R., Kiku replies, "I love comedy and in 'Comedy Nights' also a bit of dancing was involved in our acts. I always had an inclination towards dance and I was in fact, waiting to participate in such a show. I was only reluctant till now because of my wife, who is not- an actress and has never been on stage. But surprisingly, she was so comfortable on stage like she'd been a part of this profession forever." He adds, "We do know we're not the front-runners in this competition. Some of the contestants are very young, very energetic. But we're all working hard and it is fun. We are a close knit unit and even the judges and participants do a lot masti."
Talking about 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', where Kiku is seen as the bubbly Pinky and the recent exit of Sunil Grover (who played Gutthi) from the show, Kiku says, "If I talk numbers, his exit has not made a difference. But I was really fond of Sunil, he's such a fantastic man. And like they say, you're as good as your co-actor. But having said that, we know Kapil is a one man army. He is writing, directing, co-producing and acting as well in this show and he is so good at everything. All the other characters, be it Pinky, Bua, Dadi, Naukar ya Biwi, we all individually add value to the show. But we can't take away that it is a Kapil Sharma show and he conducts it beautifully. Gutthi will be missed immensely but the show must go on."
