It hurts a little, troubles you a bit, you need to be careful. If I am offered an action film, I will do it. There is no big deal about it. I am fit enough to do an action film again," Shah Rukh said here yesterday.
"I never wanted to be muscular. Everybody has a body type. I have nice, lean long muscles. I am happy with them. I don't like to show off. By March I need to be thin, I want to do it. I am working out everyday. I want to be fit," he said. The Bollywood superstar was speaking at the launch of Deanne Panday's fitness book 'Shut Up and Train'.
"The book has strong message -- don't look for excuses to not work out, start training. Like I finish shooting at 10 or 11 pm, I come home, put the kids to sleep, have dinner, spend time with family. And then at 2.30-3 AM I work out.
My trainer pushes me to keep training whenever I get time, but (do it) everyday," he added. Due to the number of injuries SRK has suffered, he does find difficulty while doing some sort of exercises.
"I can't do over head and shoulder exercise at all. Because of my spinal injury, I can't do a lot of things. I used to love doing pull ups, but I now can hardly do three-four. I can't do exercise with bars. As soon as I stretch my arms, I can't balance things. I can't lift too much weight," he said.
The actor finds time to work out even when he is travelling. "Whenever we travel if we are in hotel there is gym. But if it is not there, then we create club house and have work out related stuff. I request my trainer to come with me. Almost 80 to 90 per cent of people in film industry across all departments want to stay fit and do workout," he said.
SRK loves fellow actors Hrithik Roshan and Farhan Akhtar in terms of their physique and fitness. "I don't envy anyone's body, but appreciate a lot of Hrithik, John Abraham, Ranveer Singh and Farhan. They are friends and very inspiring. They have worked hard for it. It is an amazing achievement. Among the ladies Lara Dutta and Bipasha Basu have good body," he added.
SRK feels Aamir has got the "best body" for his upcoming film 'Dhoom 3' and that he would love to do a film like that if offered. Shah Rukh does feel he has got quite a few bad habits including smoking which he finds "awful" and would like to give it up completely.
"Besides smoking, my sleeping pattern is wrong. Though I sleep late, I ensure I get a good sleep. My eating habits are not right because of the work and the way I work. My list of bad habits will go on... there can be a book on it," he chuckled.
