Rituparna Sengupta was apparently not comfortable playing Ashish Vidyarthi's love interest and insisted on being cast opposite Kay Kay Menon in Manish Gupta's Rahasya.

So, she was replaced by Mita Vashisht.`Rituparna is one difficult person to deal with,` says the film's producer Monica V Maluka. `She gave us trouble and we decided to replace her.`

Adds Gupta, `After assigning her dates, she started pressurising me to cast her opposite Kay Kay Menon as his wife. But I had already cast Usha Jadhav for that role. But she kept insisting that I change her casting, but I refused.` Unit sources state to add to their woes she would also arrive late on the sets.
