Actress Huma Qureshi, who will be seen opposite Madhuri Dixit in a key role in "Dedh Ishqiya", says she had an amazing experience working with the 1990s diva of Hindi films.

Huma, who herself wowed everyone with her performance in crime saga "Gangs of Wasseypur", is mesmerised with Madhuri's performance in Abhishek Chaubey's layered hinterland-based drama.

"It was an amazing experience working with Madhuri. It was my honour to work with her. In this film she is playing a begum and you would not have seen her before in such a character," Huma said here Monday during the film's promotion at a radio station.

"She was so brilliant (in the film) and she is really amazing," she added.

"Gangs of Wasseypur" was Huma's debut film, which came out in 2012 and within a year she has got an opportunity to work with actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Madhuri.

Produced by Vishal Bhardwaj, "Dedh Ishqiya" also stars Arshad Warsi and it will hit the theatres Jan 10 next year.
