Katrina Kaif on why she is not comfortable talking about her personal life

For Katrina Kaif, 2013 marks the completion of 10 years in the industry. And by any yardstick, the leggy lass has come a long way. Kat has lately in the news for matters pertaining more to her personal life. In a chat with us, the actress tells us why...

Would you like to comment on your relationship with Ranbir Kapoor?
I've never commented on my personal life. Whoever it's been about, I have never said anything I don't think I will change ever until the time I am getting married or am engaged to somebody. Since I am not engaged right now nor has anyone asked me what is more important to me -- my work or my personal life -- I think there's little point in talking about it (smiles).

Talking about your work, how was the experience working in 'Dhoom-3'?
It was way more physically challenging than it looks, honestly. Because pretty much everything you see has done by me. Now when I talk about it, it's like a journey, which is long over because the film went on for a year and a half. Right from trying to create the physicality and strength that I thought a gymnast should have, in the film I am playing a gymnast to actually training for the performances, the hoop work, the straps and the dances everything. I think I know this was the reason I had signed the film and I wanted to put everything possible I could into the performance.

Any particular stunt for which you had to rehearse?
On almost every stunt and step, I've spent hours perfecting it. Even if you see that one strap shot where Aamir and I are spinning in the Malang song, it was done without harnesses. When you see that you realise but this is one film where I have a small feeling that people are still not going to realise how difficult it was!

Which role has been your most exciting role so far?
I think everything has had its own journey and some films have been fun and some have been liberating. Some were difficult and some I didn't really connect to the character. There have been different journeys with different films but for the most part it has been good.

What about your upcoming movies?
I have finished a schedule of Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir. Bang Bang will resume in January but that depends on Hrithik (Roshan)'s health. I will then go back to Jagga Jasoos and I also need to complete Kabir Khan's film before starting Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor)'s Fitoor.

Does your family watch your movies?
They do, sometimes. My mom usually watches all my films and gives me her feedback. She generally likes my work but she doesn't like it when I die so she didn't like New York much (laughs).
