Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who returns as Jai Dixit in the third instalment of "Dhoom", said the film will be intense than the first two parts in the franchise.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, "Dhoom 3" also features Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra, among others. The film is coming out Friday.

"'Dhoom 3', I feel, is the most different 'Dhoom' from the previous two outings. With the third part, we pushed the ante, thus making it edgier. This part is not just about fun and frolic, which the first two parts were known for. It's more intense," Abhishek told IANS.

"We as a team contemplated and decided that the audience will not appreciate the same kind of 'Dhoom', although it's coming seven years after the last part. There was a conscious decision to try and do something more and different and I think we have achieved it," he added.

Having been part of the franchise since its inception, he said he likes all the three co-stars - John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in first and second instalment respectively and now Aamir Khan - he has worked with so far.

"I don't think you can generalize the films in the 'Dhoom' franchise. I can only choose if John, Hrithik and Aamir played the same roles and since they did not, I like all the characters. It was inspiring and motivating to work with all of them. It will be unfair to compare them," he said.

"I enjoyed working with each and every one of them. With John it was special because we were just starting out and with Hrithik it was wonderful because we were childhood friends. Finally, with Aamir I feel richer as an actor after working with him."

Abhishek, who has worked with southern filmmakers such as Mani Ratnam and Ram Gopal Varma, has great respect for the industry and is keen to do a Tamil film soon.

"One thing that I noticed about south Indian film units is that they work very fast. I have not only worked with Mani and Ramu but also with late Jeeva. I have also done a film with Revathi. They never sit down on shoots and only take breaks to eat," he said.

Abhishek worked with late Tamil director Jeeva in the Hindi remake of Tamil film "Run", and says that he has "lot of respect for the industry" and would love to do a Tamil film soon.

"I would love to a Tamil film if any of your producers approach me. I'm dying to a Tamil film and I keep telling Mani, I keep telling Kenny sir (Vikram)," said the 37-year old.
