Apparently, 'Rockstar' actress has been approached to be part of Sooraj Barjatya's upcoming starring Salman Khan.

There have been a lot of speculations who will be the leading lady for quite sometime now.

The source says, `Lot of names were considered. Since the makers are looking for a relatively new face, they thought Nargis is a good choice. But she is yet to give her nod to the filmmaker.`

Earlier there were rumours that Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz were also offered this role.

But later it turned out that Deepika hadn't even heard the script. `The film is slated to go on floor mid-next year and therefore Sooraj is in no hurry to finalise things.

He is completing pre-production work as of now and will make the announcement about his leading lady soon,` sums up the informer. Nargis's spokesperson was unavailable for comment.
