Shattering all the previously made records and proving the prophesies right, 'Dhoom 3' began its cineplex jaunt with a bang. If reports pertaining to this much anticipated multi-starrer of the year, starring Aamir, Katrina, Abhishek and Uday, are to be believed, then this marvelous cine delight of YRF opened with a magnificent occupancy of 90 percent and has raked in around 40 Cr rupees at its opening.

Revealing the day one collection of 'Dhoom 3' cine trend analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that:
Dhoom3 emerges the BIGGEST non-holiday opener ever. Collects Rs 30 cr+ [early est] on Friday. Hindi version only. Dhoom macha diya indeed!

Previously the top slot of being the highest non-holiday day opener belonged to Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra starrer, "Krrish 3", which raked in approximately Rs 25 crore at its release on November 1 this year.

With so many records making and breaking in just one year, surely 2013 has given our very own 'Industriwalas' some very good reasons to be happy about.


Be it SRK's "Chennai Express" which at the power of its earning i.e. of Rs 226.70 Cr, snatched away the the tag of being biggest money-spinner of all time from Aamir's "3 Idiots" which earned Rs 202.57 cr. Or be it "Krrish 3" which later on outmaneuver "Chennai Express" to emerge as the top BO grosser of all time with Rs 228.23 crores in its kitty.

With so many disarray in just one year, 2013 has seen it all and have proved itself as one of the most memorable year of Indian cine history.


Now with YRF's Dhoom 3 jumping into the league, and starting on a record breaking note with an opening day collection of around 40 crores, probably by the time the last day of 2013 will come Bollywood will have another record in it's bunch of goodies.
