Filmmaker has done a cameo in his upcoming production 'Hasee Toh Phasee'
Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet will mark Karan Johar's full-fledged acting debut, but for the time being KJo features in a cameo in his upcoming production Hasee Toh Phasee.

The film's director Vinil Mathew says, `We needed a slightly snooty character with great comic timing. We could think of no one else but Karan for the role. I didn't have to convince him as he was sporting enough when I told him about it`


Incidentally, Mathew had earlier directed KJo in a coffee commercial.

Hasee Toh Phasee which features Sidharth Malhotra-Parineeti Chopra marks KJo's return to the big screen after a gap. He had earlier done cameos in films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Fashion, Salaam-e-Ishq and Luck By Chance.
