After taking everyone by surprise with 'Oh My God', Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi ventured in to regional cinema with '72 Miles Ek Pravas', which has been critically acclaimed. They also came out with 'Bhaji in Problem', a Punjabi film which garnered admiration internationally.
'72 Miles...' has received positive feedback from international audience when it was shortlisted at the celebrated London Indian Film Festival. And now it will be screened at the festival from January 9-16.
"72 Miles marks our first regional film and we are delighted at the great honour and prestige the film has brought. We would like to thank all for all the love and appreciation they have bestowed upon us," Akshay said. Out of 35 entries in the Marathi feature competition, only seven movies have been selected including '72 Miles...' . A hard-hitting, poignant tale of a young boy who makes his journey into self-actualisation against the backdrop of a rustic India, '72 Miles...' explores a beautiful, coming of age journey for the 13-year-old boy Ashok and the companionable relationships he makes through his journey.
