The much awaited soundtrack of superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil period-drama "Kochadaiiyaan", which has music by double Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman, will be released Feb 15.

"The production house has just informed us that the audio of 'Kochadaiiyaan' in A.R. Rahman's music will release on the 15th of February 2014," read a post on the Twitter page of Sony Music South Saturday.

The audio was originally slated to be released in December last year on the occasion of Rajinikanth's birthday, but the release was later called off.

Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, the film also features Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Sarath Kumar, Shobana and Aadi Pinisetty.

Touted to be made on a budget of over Rs.100 crore, "Kochadaiiyaan" is reportedly India's first motion capture 3D film which will be released in foreign languages such as Italian, Spanish and even Japanese.

The film is jointly produced by Eros International and Mediaone Global Entertainment.
