Emraan Hashmi sent Kangna Ranaut a text message to compliment her after watching 'Queen' promos

Kangna Ranaut last acted with Emraan Hashmi in 2006, when they starred in the film Gangster.

The two may not have been close friends, but it looks like they do keep in touch. After watching the promos of her latest film Queen, Emraan came away impressed and didn't hesitate to compliment the actress.


A source says, `Emraan was impressed by her portrayal of a village girl. He texted her saying that he liked the promos and is looking forward to watching her play the-girl-next-door in the film.`

On her part, the actress was touched by his gesture and thanked him for his words of encouragement. Adds the source, `She was happy to have her work appreciated by a co-actor.`

Kangna's spokesperson confirmed the news.
