If industry sources are to be believed, Varun Dhawan will not be a part of the film ABCD 2. It is said that Varun initially had a verbal agreement with choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza about the same, but it seems he has now changed his mind.
Sources say that Varun's other film commitments have come in the way of this film's casting. He has been signed on by Saif Ali Khan's production house Illuminati Films to do a film with Sriram Raghavan, after which he will be busy with Karan Johar's next production, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania, which will also feature his Student of the Year co-star, Alia Bhatt.
With Varun's choc-a-bloc diary leaving him no room for Remo's film, the director - who was impressed by Varun's dancing skills after choreographing him in Student of The Year - has now started approaching other actors as well. However, he is still hopeful about casting Varun in the film. `Varun and I are still in talks. I will be able to let you know more only once I get a nod from him,` says Remo. Ask him about Varun turning down his offer and he laughs it off. `Nothing has been finalised yet,` he says.
Remo's film, ABCD (AnyBody Can Dance), did well at the box-office last year and the film's collections prompted Remo to consider making a sequel. The choreographer-turned-director has confirmed that he will start shooting for ABCD 2 by early next year. This film will also star Prabhudheva, Dharmesh and Lauren Gottlieb, who were a part of the film's first instalment.
