Producer Bubby Kent has decided not to take any action against director Adhiyamaan for re-making his Salman Khan starrer "Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar" in Tamil and
releasing it in the south.
Kent, who was in London for the past four months, was in for a big surprise when he returned Wednesday and learnt that Adhiyamaan had remade the film in Tamil with
Madhavan, and also released it.
"Shaadi..." has been awaiting release for more than a year now and is stuck in a financial mess. The success of its Tamil version could change things, with Kent even
mulling an October release now.
"I was definitely taken by surprise because Adhiyamaan had never discussed this at any point of time, but I guess he was fed up of the endless wait. Besides, the story is
entirely his, though I hold the rights to the film," said Kent.
In fact, Kent gave up the idea of protesting after the encouraging opening that the southern version has got.
"The terrific opening the film has got in the south has led me to dismiss any problems I may have with Adhiyaaman. The opening response will definitely boost the prospects
of the Hindi version here. It shows that the film is already a prospective hit," mused Kent, adding that he was now looking at an October release for the film.
