"I couldn't return to Mumbai!" Kareena exclaims, still filled with incredulity at the irony of being kept out of her own home. "As the rains broke out in Mumbai all flights to the city from Bangkok were cancelled. I was stranded in Bangkok for five whole days."
Kareena was shooting with Shahid Kapoor for Abbas-Mustan's "36 China Town" in Bangkok when Mumbai felt the fury of the rains.
The fact that she was shooting with Shahid was of little consolation.
"I was worried for my mom and sister, though they were relatively safe where we stay. And I missed my niece like mad. I just wanted to get back home," says the actress who's about to sign two very important films in Mumbai.
Incidentally, in December 2004 the very same spot in Thailand where Kareena and Shahid were supposed to shoot for Boney Kapoor's "Milenge Milenge" was completely blown away by a tsunami to the point of becoming non-existent on the map!
Incidentally "Milenge Milenge" will see Shahid Kapoor and Kareena as lovers rather than foes. Ken Ghosh's "Fida" where they appeared together for the first time, took a beating because the real-life pair played antagonists.
