The Delhi High Court Friday restrained Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor from taking her daughter out of the country without the permission of her husband Sanjay Kapoor.

Judge Mukul Mudgal issued the directive to Karisma following an application filed by Sanjay Kapoor in which he expressed apprehension that she might take their daughter out of India without his knowledge and on an illegally issued passport.

The court directed the central government to communicate the contents of the order to immigration authorities. The regional passport office in Mumbai had issued a passport for Karisma's daughter July 23.

The court asked Karisma, the regional passport office, the central government and the home ministry to file a reply to the petition by Aug 12.
