Actress Monica Bedi, who too a break from her TV show "Saraswatichandra", is back and thanks her fans for accepting her character.

"I am happy to be back and I am grateful to all my fans who have so gracefully accepted me and my character in 'Saraswatichandra'," Monica, who plays the main protagonist's stepmother in the show, said in a statement.

The actress' character Gumaan has negative shades and her re-entry will heighten the drama.

According to a source, Monica has been away because the focus had shifted to Kumud's (played by Jennifer Winget) family.

"Saraswatichandra" airs on Star Plus.
