A TV artist was arrested on charges of illegally confining and outraging the modesty of a lady colleague with whom his relationship strained some time ago, police said.

Akhil Ghai (34), who has worked in several TV serials and a couple of films, was yesterday arrested on charges of illegal confinement, assault and outraging modesty, on the complaint filed by Shivani Gosain (33), a TV artist.

In her complaint Gosain asserted that Ghai used language full of expletives and even threatened her at times. Citing one incidence she says, "He used to call me incessantly and even used a crude language like 'Pick up the phone, you bitch' many a times."
