Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is currently out on parole, hasn't finished dubbing for his film, 'Peekay'. Says a source, `Though the film was shot in the sync sound style, Dutt never wore the lapel mic for voice recording as he was uncomfortable with it. Now the film's producer, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and director, Rajkumar Hirani, are keen that he complete his dubbing before he returns to jail.`
The actor is currently at home to take care of his ailing wife. The source adds, `Chopra and Hirani met Sanjay Dutt and they apparently asked him to complete dubbing his portions for the film.`
It maybe recalled here that at the time of his conviction, Dutt had some projects pending, including films like 'Peekay', 'Zanjeer', 'Unglee', 'Policegiri' and 'Sher'. Dutt then completed the shooting and dubbing for two of his films: 'Zanjeer' and 'Policegiri'. In fact, it is said that filmmakers had turned one of Dutt's rooms into a dubbing theatre in order to help him finish the dubbing for 'Policegiri' and 'Zanjeer' on time. However, dubbing for 'Peekay' and 'Unglee' is still pending.
Dutt has applied for a second extension and it remains to be seen if he will finish dubbing before going back to jail. Both Hirani and Chopra have already decided to start work on the third instalment of the 'Munnabhai' series after the actor finishes his jail term. Hirani is also penning a biopic on the actor.
