The unit of the film 'Youngistaan' - which stars Jackky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma in lead roles - had a rather unpleasant experience while shooting at the Taj Mahal in Agra.
A crewmember says, `We shot a song and few scenes at the Taj Mahal and in keeping with the protocol, we had procured permission from the concerned departments, including the Uttar Pradesh police. However, a few officials from archeological department were present on the sets all through, as they monitored our shoot.`
The crewmember adds that these officials kept interrupting the shoot as they objected to the use of printed umbrellas and chairs.
`They asked us to shoot without these props and as a result, we would have to keep changing the position of our equipment. We didn't have to halt the shoot but it was irritating to see these officials disrupt our shoot,` says the crewmember.
Due to this harrowing experience, the unit didn't have much time to soak in the beauty of what has been hailed as one of the seven wonders of the world. `The Taj Mahal is a beautiful monument and it is our nation's pride, but we barely had the time to take it all in. In fact, we have recreated the backdrop of the Taj Mahal in Lucknow and featured the same in some scenes,` adds the crewmember.
