Vikas Behl's 'Queen' which was set to release on February 28 has been pushed ahead one week and will now release on March 7. However, now, it will have to clash with Soumik Sen's 'Gulaab Gang' and 'Total Siyappa' at the marquee.
An insider says, "The release date of the film was shifted so that it will not to have compete with Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar's 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'. Kangana is the pillar of the film and the makers were sure that they have fixed target audience for it.
Moreover, the promos of the film have been liked by industry people.
Therefore they thought that one week delay will do help them. Now, they have ended up having clash with 'Gulaab Gang' which has also got good response from everyone."
A trade expert says, "Well if three films are releasing on same day, then they are going to eat into each other's business. At the moment, both Madhuri and Kangana's film looks interesting but for audience, it will be quite confusing to choose between two films and it is possible that they will opt for cross-border love story featuring Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam."
Vikas and Soumik remained unavailable for comment.
