"Gunday" which was released on 2000 screens, opened with occupancy of around 70 percent in the cinema halls. And on day 1 this action packed love triangle raked in approximately 16.12 crores.
Although on its second day the business of "Gunday" tumbled and this action thriller of Ali Abbas could garners Rs 12.63 crores on Saturday. But due to a positive word of mouth publicity it regained its momentum on Sunday and earned 15.18 crores at the ticket window, which made its opening weekend's domestic collection around 43.93 crores.
After witnessing the first three day's collection of "Gunday" one thing seems to be for sure that made at a budget of 50-55 crores the movie will conveniently recover its cost of production and with no major commercial movie scheduled to release on coming Friday, it may near the 100 crore mark too.

Besides, with the BO success of "Gunday" which it has achieved so far, another fact which has become quite conspicuous is that Guday's leading man Ranveer Singh has turned into a crowd puller of a sort whose mere presence in the movie can compel the masses to enter the cine arenas.
