Kamaal Rashid Khan, more familiar to the Twitter world, tweeted, "A gangster from Gurgaon called Sukhdev Singh is asking me to pay Rs 2 Cr as protection money (sic)." What's more, he went right ahead and also gave the mobile number from which he got the calls. And so, we asked KRK what this was all about. He said, "This is about a week ago.

Somebody kept calling me and asking me that I should send two crore rupees. He would call repeatedly, and say 'tu jaanta nahi main kaun hoon' and all that. I said I will not send, and he said I know your Mumbai office, I know your Delhi office, my boys will come there, and this and that. He was trying to threaten me, of course. That's all."

That's all? A don threatens you and 'that's all'? Had something happened aage-peechhe, something he can recall? "Nothing happened. I don't know the person, who he is. The number he called me from, I put it on Twitter, because I thought this is the only way he will stop calling me, and he did. He hasn't called me after that," he said. Weren't you scared? "Before, when he was calling me, he called me many times, now he hasn't. I know this was the best way to avoid him.

I am sure he wasn't some gangster or anything. He must have got my number from somewhere, and wanted to disturb me," he added. And he was obviously on Twitter, for he read KRK's post and stopped calling him. "For sure. I think woh koi aisa hi tha, Twitter pe hoga, aur phir aise hi mera number mil gaya hoga kahin se, aur pareshan kar raha tha. Aise toh mujhe roz hi bahut calls aate hain, aisa nahi hai. But woh calls aisey hote hain ki ek-do baar call aate hain, phir nahi karte hain, jab main unko bolta hoon ki mat karna warna number police ko de doonga, toh dobara phone nahi karte. Lekin woh toh aisa tha ki continuously pareshaan kar raha tha. Lekin mujhe serious gangster-wangster nahi laga.

I am based in Mumbai, but he was telling me 'main Gurgaon se hoon'. Mujhe pata nahi ke woh hai ki nahi. Lekin pehle mujhe kisi ne bataya yeh number Rajasthan se registered hai, phir kisi ne kaha Chandigarh se registered hai, but he kept saying he is from Gurgaon. Pata nahi kya hai, kaun hoga? I don't have any friends, so such things happen, it's cool for me, no problem," he said.
