Observing that the remixes would not be able to suppress the spirit of music, melody queen Lata Mangeshkar on Monday said that the songs with vulgar exposure by the singers would affect the youths and contemporary singers alike.

"Remix gaane se sangeet ki bhavna nahin mar sakti" (the spirit of music cannot die due to remixes), she said at the ashram of saint Udaysingh Deshmukh ‘Bhayyu Maharaj'.

However, exposure by the singers in the songs (music videos) would affect the youths, she said.

When asked if she would object if remixes were made of her songs, Mangeshkar said that many of her songs had already being remixed.

To a query, Mangeshkar, who was born in Indore, said she would do whatever possible for the development of the city.

When asked about her contribution towards the construction of Mai Mangeshkar auditorium, the singer said she would do whatever possible for the cause.

On the reported offer by megastar Amitabh Bachchan to her to be a guest in Kaun Banega Crorepati, Mangeshkar said she would consider it.
