While Parineeti worked in the marketing department of Yash Raj Film before getting into acting, Bhumi has been working as a casting director for over six years for the same production house.
Bhumi will be seen in Maneesh's production 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha', directed by Sharat Katariya, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana. Casting director Shanoo Sharma, who had seen Bhumi audition actors, suggested her name to Maneesh.
He called her under the pretext of a mock drill and after seeing her acting skills finalised her for the role.
