AAMIR KHAN
He swears by festive releases. Post 2007, all films featuring him in the lead hit the marquee during Christmas. And they all set the cash registers ringing at the box office. Many believe that Aamir and his filmmaker wife, Kiran Rao, who was battling fertility issues, even timed the birth of their son Azad in the month of December!
VIDYA BALAN
The success of The Dirty Picture left Vidya superstitious about the colour red. She even insisted on being featured in a red saree instead of the traditional green attire for a lavani item song in Ferrari Ki Sawaari. The actress is also apparently superstitious about using a particular Pakistani brand of kajal.
KATRINA KAIF
This London girl always makes it a point to pay a visit to the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer before her films release. She once set tongues wagging when she wore a short skirt to the holy shrine to pray for the success of Namastey London. But controversies apart, we think the religious visits do work for her!
RANBIR KAPOOR
Ranbir Kapoor regards mother Neetu Kapoor as his lucky charm. Perhaps, that is why his car number plates bear the number 8, which is Neetu's birthdate. Of late, we have spotted the Kapoor scion taking his mommy along for at least one of his many film promotionals. Sadly, Neetu's presence in Besharam didn't quite work for Ranbir.
SALMAN KHAN
The sapphire bracelet on the right arm of this Bollywood heavyweight's is his lucky charm. He considers it his 'protector' and insists on flaunting it on-screen too. Besides this, Salman is supposedly superstitious about releasing his films during Eid. And that trend started following the resounding success of Wanted, Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger and Jai Ho! But now the grapevine is abuzz with rumours that for 2015, Shah Rukh Khan has slated his film for an Eid release while Salman has taken SRK's Diwali slot.
SANJAY DUTT
He is apparently a firm believer in numerology and considers 9 as his lucky number. That's precisely why he prefers the number 4545 - that adds up to 9 -- on each of the licence plates of his diverse fleet of cars. Even star couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan like the numbers 3 and 7, respectively, for their cars, matching it with the total of their birthdates.
