When required to travel between sets, stars are not relying on cars, the good ol' mode of transport, any longer. They are now resorting to choppers, jetties, bikes and even scooties to beat the traffic and time constraints

Akshay Kumar, who has been shooting in Pune for the film 'Gabbar', had to come down to Mumbai for a day to shoot a song for his upcoming film, 'Holiday'. The actor finished his shoot in Pune on Thursday morning and then took a chopper to reach Mumbai in order to save on time.

A source says that Akshay Kumar, who is known to start his day early and reach his shoots on time, boarded a chopper and then rode his bike from the airport to this suburban studio in Bandra. `Akshay Kumar was supposed to reach the studio around 4pm and he reached there on time. The film's director and his team were surprised to see him ride in on the bike. They expected him to get late as he was coming all the way from Pune. But the fact is that Akshay often takes his bike to reach shoots on time,` says the source.

Choreographed by Mudassar Khan, the song also stars Salman Khan, besides Akshay Kumar. The source adds that post his shoot, Akshay Kumar left the studio in his car.

Bollywood actors taking the shortest route
Interestingly, Salman Khan rode a white scooty to the Bandra studio for the same shoot, while his entourage followed him on their two-wheelers. He reached the shoot around 4pm and after completing the shoot, he headed home on his two-wheeler.

Torn between her two films, Sonakshi Sinha recently booked a chopper to fly from Wai to Mumbai and back. Shooting for 'R...Rajkumar' in Wai, she had to travel to Mumbai to shoot for AR Murugadoss's film, 'Thuppakki'. Travelling by road would have taken her five hours one way, so she finished her 'Wai' shoot in the morning and flew in to Mumbai on a chopper. Here she shot for Thupakki and flew back to Wai the same night.

While shooting for Anubhav Sinha's upcoming film 'Gulaab Gang', Madhuri Dixit would take a jetty to commute to and from Madh Island. With the call time being as early as 6am, Madhuri decided to ditch her car and take a jetty from Versova everyday.

Anil Kapoor, who was also shooting in Madh Island last year, opted to take the ferry in a bid to reach his shoot on time. The actor wanted to beat the traffic and he saved on time by taking the ferry.

Suniel Shetty, who was recently shooting in Madh Island for a film, preferred a pillion ride on hairstylist Aarif's scooty, instead of going home in his car.
