Nihar Pandya- Nihar was apparently Deepika Padukone's first boyfriend in Mumbai. The two are said to have met at an acting school in Mumbai in 2005 and what appeared as a budding friendship, soon turned into a blooming romance. Deepika who was a model back then, even featured with Nihar in a music video by Himesh Reshammiya. But Nihar never in the least expected that Deepika would ditch him for actor Ranbir Kapoor, whom she worked with in the film Bachna Ae Haseeno.


Apparently, when Ranbir and Deepika broke up, she went crying to ex boyfriend Nihar who intervened. There were also reports in the media alleging that Nihar and Ranbir had a huge confrontation. Nihar, who was in a live in relationship with Dips for three years, certainly seemed heart broken as Deepika moved on to date Ranbir Kapoor.
