Ali Zafar and co-actor Yami Gautam have been on a promotional spree for their upcoming film, 'Total Siyappa'. But the hectic schedule apparently took a toll on Ali's health during this trip to Delhi.
A source said, "Ali happened to eat something wrong after which he started feeling feverish and vomited around midnight. He was then rushed to hospital in the wee hours of Monday. The doctor treating Ali said it is a case of food poisoning."
The spokesperson of the film confirmed the news.
The 'Total Siyappa' team has already covered various cities for promotions and were scheduled to travel to Chandigarh on Tuesday, but these plans have been put on hold due to Ali's ill-health.
Before Delhi, the actors were in Jaipur for the film's promotion. "Ali had been feeling unwell since Sunday evening but he did not want to disrupt the schedule. With the film slated to release this Friday, Ali wanted to go all out to promote the film," said a source close to the actor.
Exhausted!
Alia Bhatt fell sick while balancing the promotional schedule for her recently released film 'Highway' and working on her upcoming films '2 States' and 'Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya'. She had posted on a social networking website, "Sorry guys little unwell. All the exhaustion catching up! But your tweets keep me going."
Deepika Padukone was down with fever in mid-February, thanks to an exhausting schedule that had her working for 30 consecutive hours. After shooting for Farah Khan's film 'Happy New Year' for 16-plus hours, the actor rushed for a dance rehearsal and performance at an awards function, after which she almost collapsed.
