Addressing a press conference, Kareena who has just returned from Bangkok from a hectic shooting schedule of Subhash Ghai's ''36,China Town'', said she decided to associate herself with the brand because of its quality, individuality and GenX features.
This will be her third endorsement after Pepsi and Lux, the actress said. Replying to a question on the growing trend of actors being signed up as brand ambassadors, Kareena said it was the personal choice of the product makers as to whom they want to endorse their brands.
She said she was honoured that Citizen, an international brand had signed her to endorse their latest product.
When asked whether she was fond of watches, Kareena said as a kid she had good collection of watches, but the hobby died down when she joined films. ''Since Citizen has gifted me with a good collection, I am happy that I will be using the watches'', She added.
Regional Manager-west Citizen watches (India) pvt ltd Mukesh Shah said, ''We see great synergy between Kareena Kapoor and Citizen Eco-Drive watches, since both are style icons in their own right''.
He said the new product is an amazing, cutting-edge Eco-Drive technology that makes the watch run of any light and obviates the need for a battery.
Speaking about her forthcoming releases, Kareena said she was looking forward to ''Kyunki'' which is a Diwali release where she stars with Salman Khan for the first time. ''It is directed by Priydarshan and is a very emotional film much unlike his previous projects which were mostly comedy'', She said.
36, China Town with Shahid Kapur and Akshaye Khanna and Don with Shah Rukh Khan were other films in the pipeline, She said.
