News was abuzz that Meera, the Pakistani actress who played the lead in "Nazar", has shifted base to Dubai. But that has proved to be false.

Meera's spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar said: "I hereby clarify that reports about the actress hailing from Pakistan having shifted to Dubai are totally false. Meera has instead made Mumbai her base and, after her debut in Mukesh Bhatt's 'Nazar', continues to pursue an active career in Bollywood."

A section of the media had reported that Meera has moved bag and baggage to Dubai, citing visa problems from her native country.

But Bhagwagar was quoted as saying by Bollywood Trade: "The actress would like to bring it to everyone's notice that though she has bought a house in Dubai some time ago, she is very much staying put in Mumbai and has no plans of leaving this city of dreams."

Meera's forthcoming films in Bollywood include "Kasak" with actor-singer Lucky Ali and Mukesh Bhatt's next.
