The executive producer of the film Naren Kumar, when contacted, confirmed saying, "Yes it is true that he is hurt and has returned to Mumbai. The doctors have advised him rest."

On whether Amit not being part of the shoot will affect the shooting, Kumar said, "We are shooting with the other actors now and Amit will joins us only in Chandigarh and it is subjected to his recovery.''
'Guddu Rangeela' is a comical thriller with elements of satire. The film also has Arshad Warsi plays the role of Rangeela and the female lead is Aditi Rao Hydari.
