Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, one of Bollywood's hottest couples, will soon be seen together in an ad for anti-dandruff shampoo, which they shot in Alibaug
recently.
Actor R Madhavan, who's Ramji Londonwaley released September 2, has shot for the Tamil version of the same ad, though not with wife Sarita. "Her hands are full with our
baby Vedant," explains Maddy.
"My version of the ad features me with Tamil actress Sadaa, who co-starred with me in Priya Sakhi (a Tamil version of the unreleased Salman-Shilpa starrer, Shaadi Karke
Phans Gaya).
"I'd never do a film or ad with my wife — it's too close to home," says Madhavan. "And I wouldn't be comfortable with it. I don't know how other real-life couples face the
camera together — I admire their professionalism."
It was Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore who triggered off the trend towards sponsored togetherness, followed by Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, who featured in
a televised campaign for eye donation.
Ajay Devgan and Kajol endorsed Whirlpool, and more recently, appeared in a Tata Indicom commercial. They have also just shot for a special edition of Kaun Banega
Crorepati 2.
John and Bipasha too will soon be seen together on KBC 2.
