Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh will apparently play a negative character as part of his Bollywood debut in Himesh Reshammiya's next film

If sources are to believed, Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh will be starring in the Bollywood film, 'Xpose', which is being directed by Ananth Mahadevan. A suspense thriller, 'Xpose' is produced by musician and actor Himesh Reshammiya.

It is being said that Singh's role in the film has grey shades. `It is a dark, edgy character. Yo Yo plays a villain in the film,` says a source.

The singer, who has courted controversies for his bold lyrics, made his debut as a leading man in Punjabi film, 'Main Tera Bai Tu Mera Bai'. Here he displayed his comic skills alongside Punjabi star Amrinder Gill and at the time of its release, he pointed out that it was a one-off project.

In fact, in one of his interviews from early last year, Honey Singh said, `Frankly, I don't think I'm ready to get into acting as yet. I still have a long way to go as a musician. It will be a while before I feel confident enough to make the jump into acting like Himesh Reshammiya did.` But looks like in a year's time, Reshammiya has convinced him to star in his project. Both Reshammiya and Singh didn't reply to our text messages.
