'Rain', to hit the silver screen by this month end, is the story of blind girl Sandhya Bhatnagar, played by actress Meghna Naidu, who has rain phobia because of certain incidents in her childhood.
At the launch of the film's music today, 'Rain' producer Vinod Bachachan told that even though the subject seems quite similar to what the people in Mumbai faced recently, his film was ready much before.
He said 'Rain' is a thriller starring Himanshu Malik in the lead, apart from Meghna Naidu essaying the role of the protagonist.
Meghna, who shot to fame with her music video 'Kaliyon Ka chaman', had earlier starred in films like 'Hawas' and 'Madhoshi'.
The film consists of five songs and the music has been composed by Satish-Ajay. Satish had earlier scored music for the movie 'Police Force'.
On the occasion of the music launch, Satish said despite 'Rain' being a thriller, the music was melodious and the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghosal.
''We are confident that the album will herald the arrival of a new music composer duo in the film industry,'' film's director Amol Shetge, who had earlier directed film 'Nam Gum Jayega', said.
