After ‘Biwi No.1', Bhagnani and director David Dhawan reunite for another comedy about married men going astray and Sanjay Dutt gets them back on track. The music of the film has been composed by Anu Malik and the lyrics are penned by Sameer.
Under the banner of Puja Films, the film is packed with loads of star power with actors Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan and Zayed Khan coming together in the movie. The female line-up is interesting too with Soha Ali Khan, Esha Deol, Ayesha Takia, Aarti Chabbria, Sophiya and Riyaa Sen.
The special train, named ‘Shaadi Express', had stars like Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Soha Ali Khan, Ria Sen, Sophie and Aarti Chabbria along with Dhawan and Bhagnani.
The movie's story revolves around various couples. They are together yet apart because their interests differ.
Raj (Fardeen Khan) is the typical materialist while his wife Bhavana (Ayesha Takia) is the true spiritualist. So, while he languishes she sings Bhajans. Veer (Zayed Khan) is the casanova at heart while his wife, played by Esha Deol is an aspiring actress. Sharman Joshi and Soha Ali's pair too faces similar conflicting interests.
With the conflicting interests, all the three men hunt for greener pastures and come across three bombshells - Sophie, Ria Sen and Aarti Chabbaria.
Sophie said she had a blast doing the film.
"The girl that I am playing is Dimple. She is very glamorous and a fun loving character. She doesn't try to be sexy or seductress. She is a girl of today who is young and vibrant. She loves to dance but won't let anyone mess around with her," said Sophie.
Actress Esha Deol believes that the film is going to be a super hit as it is directed by David Dhawan.
"It was a very good experience. We all had a very good time while working. David Dhawan is a great director and working with Zayed was also great because we have done two to three films together. Fardeen and all the girls were good with each other on the set.
The story is lively, energetic and very funny," said Esha.
Actress Soha Ali Khan liked the idea of visiting Shirdi as it would be an auspicious start for the film.
"We are going to Shirdi and the opening is going to be auspicious. There, we will pray for the success of the music and the film. I am very excited that he organised this because we have never been to Shirdi but wanted to visit Shirdi. So, to combine that with the release of Shaadi No.1's music is very good," said Soha.
Dhawan is back after six years with his old time partner Bhagnani for the No.1 series. All the films that the duo had produced starting from Coolie No.1 to Biwi No.1 had been hits at the box-office.
So, definitely the expectations are rife from this upcoming film ‘Shaadi No.1', promising loads of laughter and entertainment. It is slated to be release on November 4.
