The upcoming Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Bhootnath Returns', has been embroiled in a copyright infringement case.

Hindi writer Sushant Supriya, in his suit filed in the Delhi High Court, has alleged that the film is based on his 2007 short story Bhoothnath.

Sushant referred to nine shots in the film as shown in the promos and claimed that they had been copied from his story.

The film has been written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari with Gulshan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra as producers. The Court has asked both the parties to settle the issue amicably.
