Four years after Pyaar Ka Punchnama hit cinemas, the producers are gearing up to roll out its sequel by the end of next month reports The Times of India.

Confirming the news, Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, said: "This is the best time to come up with the sequel. When we made it back in 2011, we weren't sure whether a film like this would find takers. It worked on word-of-mouth publicity. That encouraged us to come up with more small-budget entertainers. Over the last three years, lots of filmmakers have jumped into the fray and many of these films have worked."

Buzz is, the sequel will be with newcomers. "We're working on it. The reason the audience connected with Pyaar Ka Punchnama was because its characters were played by believable-looking people (Kartik Aaryan, Rayo Bakhirta, Divyendu Sharma, Sonalli Sehgall, Nushrat Bharucha, Ishita Sharma)," says Ajit.
