At a recent charity auction, one of the items that went under the hammer included the chance to get a portrait done by well-known artist, Jaideep Mehrotra.

Given that Mehrotra has already done Big B's portrait, it was perhaps not surprising to see that Jaya Bachchan too wanted to get her portrait done by the same artist.

However, it seems that this was not to be.

This is because she was outbid at the auction by Sussanne Khan's sister, Simone Khan and her husband, Ajay Arora. Jaideep Mehrotra will now paint a portrait of Ajay and Simone instead of Jaya Bachchan. Says a source from the Swades Foundation that conducted the auction, `Known to be a rather reclusive artist, Jaideep has done only a couple of celebrity paintings so far: that of Big B and Shammi Kapoor.`

Zarina Mehta confirms that Jaya Bachchan had bid at the auction. `But Ajay Arora and Simone Khan outbid her and won the chance to get a portrait done by Jaideep Mehrotra.`
