Abhishek Varman's directorial debut film 2 States hit the bull's eye,the first week collections crossed 60 crore in India.

It collected Rs 12.42 crore on its opening day April , saturday Rs 12.13, crore, sunday Rs 13.51 crore, Monday Rs 6.21 crore, Tuesday Rs 5.63 crore, Wednesday Rs 5.36 and Thursday Rs 5.51 crore. The total Rs 60.77 crore. 2 states ire leased in 2000 screens in India. It is distributed by UTV Motion Pictures worldwide.

Co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, It is based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller "2 States: The Story Of My Marriage", it stars Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
