My first red carpet experience was absolutely surreal. It was the premiere of my film Issaq and the producers went all out by rolling a red carpet from the car drop off point to the entrance of the theatre.

I got blinded by the cameras that flashed around, clicking every moment. I believe that everyone should try to walk as gracefully as possible on the red carpet, especially when it's for the first time. That moment does not repeat itself.

I was really nervous at first but later started to enjoy myself. I wore a black lace sari with a backless blouse for the event.

Since I was playing a girl from Benaras in the film, I thought I might as well stick to the elegant Indian look. The sari is a heirloom of sorts handed over from my grandmother to mom. Prateik, Ravi Kishan and I had a blast interacting with each others family members and friends.

The night got even more spectacular when we met Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who were kind enough to attend the premiere. However, my family who kept pulling my leg seeing me on screen, were the stars of the show.
