Rati Agnihotri has the rights for her 1981 cult romantic film Ek Duuje Ke Liye, directed by K Balachander which had Kamal Haasan as her co-star. According to industry sources, the actress is keen on remaking the film with her actor son Tanuj Virwani who will play Kamal Hassan's role in he film.

When contacted, Tanuj confirmed that they own the rights to the film. `But we have not approached anyone yet for the same. It's too early right now to say anything about the film, but I can tell you that it's definitely not my next project. That said, we will surely remake the film and I would love to be a part of it.`
