From Rin to cars, he is the face that launched a thousand products. Yet Khalid Siddiqui makes a very rare appearance on screen. He did a cameo role in Subhash Ghai's
Joggers' Park as a ghazal singer. Then came Prakash Jha's Apaharan.
"Frankly I didn't go out looking for work. I was happy modelling. I have been into it for 12
years. I was satisfied with my work. I was not very keen on doing films. I do what my heart says. I am an extremely moody person. If I like a role I will do it or else not," he
says.
Now Khalid will be soon seen in Junaid Memon's The Film opposite Mahima Chaudhary. "I strongly believe that the story, the producer, director everything is important. The
character and the script should be good. Junaid is a wonderful guy to work with. I am extremely lucky that I have got this role after so many years. Models usually
don't survive for so many years," he says.
At the moment Khalid is busy with theatre. His current play Mod — Not Quite Then, is doing very well. "Yes I have got a lot of satisfaction through theatre. My acting
abilities and skills are well established here." says Khalid.
