Newcomer Tiger Shroff says his actor father Jackie Shroff is his closest and coolest friend. The 23-year-old actor, who is making his debut with 'Heropanti', says he never keeps anything from his father.

"He (Jackie) is like a bigger brother and a friend. He is a 'bindass' man, so he is the coolest friend I have. You can talk to him about anything you want. Unfortunately, we don't get to spend much time because we are both busy with our careers," Tiger told PTI.

Directed by Sabbir Khan, the Sajid Nadiadwala produced film is set to hit theatres this Friday. The newcomer feels that he has a great responsibility to meet the expectations of the people in 'Heropanti', which also stars newcomer Kriti Sanon.

"I can't take advantage of my father's position, that is a bigger responsibility I have. He is a phenomenal actor and has a great goodwill so that leaves me with an even bigger responsibility. Being a star's son I take that as a plus. I am very blessed to be in the situation," he said. "People have expectations from me. They still remember him for 'Hero' which was a superhit. So there are challenges.

That makes me work harder and I push on my limits. I hope that I get to prove myself," he added. Tiger says as opposed to his outgoing character in 'Heropanti', he is a bit of introvert in real life. "My character is very different from me in reality. He is a very confident guy and I am very shy. I don't have many friends. I am a workaholic. I am very particular and uptight about everything," Tiger said. "On the other hand my character likes to chill in life. He is a very social and has a good time," he added.

In the romantic drama, Tiger plays a young man, who has strong conviction about things and is very protective about those he loves. "I play Bablu. He is just out of college and is not employed. He has a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong.

He will do anything for them and sometimes he has to show heropanti just to save the ones who he loves," Tiger said. "The reason as to why he is the hero is because of the sacrifices he makes for the ones he love," he added. The makers gave Tiger ample time to undergo rigours training for the role which required him to be physically fit.

"They gave me a lot of time in my training for the role. There was a lot of photoshoots. Other than that the character required me to be physically fit. It required certain skills like dancing," he said. His debut is yet to be released but the actor is already flooded with offers. "There are a lot of offers coming in and I am going through them. But honestly I want people to see my work first before giving me work," he said.
