Anupam met Modi at Gujarat Bhavan Monday, he shared via his Twitter page and even posted a photograph of their meeting.
"Wonderful to meet our future Prime Minister Narendra Modi-ji at Gujarat Bhavan. Jai Ho to his dynamism and patriotism," tweeted the actor, whose wife Kirron Kher won a Lok Sabha seat as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Chandigarh.
She won with over 42 percent votes, and Anupam was by his wife's side during the poll campaign.
The Modi-led BJP won a staggering 282 seats in the 545-member Lok Sabha, becoming the first non-Congress party since independence to get a majority on its own.
Narendra Modi is currently in the capital city, where he was Tuesday elected leader of the BJP parliamentary party, paving the way to his becoming the prime minister.
