He was just a Hyderabadi boy enamoured by Bollywood's glittering lifestyles. Barely 25, Mohammad Rahman never seemed like a serious offender to anyone. But it is only when Oshiwara police arrested him couple of days back, his horror tales came to light.

Rahman, who called himself Rahul Oberoi used to make obscene calls to top heroines including Kareena Kapoor and Smriti Mishra.

Actually it was Smriti herself who helped the police nab the culprit.

She says, "I was getting obscene messages and even threats, and I got really scared. When I lodged a complaint the cops came up with an idea — they asked me to sweettalk the person and ask him to come to town. When he came here, he was nabbed by them."

Kareena Kapoor also lodged a complaint against Rahman on September 25 when she received series of obscene SMSs and threats.

Tells Bebo's secretary Zahid, "Kareena had been receiving highly vulgar messages on her mobile for over a month. When she finally decided to lodge a complaint she got to know that other actors like Poonam Dhillon, Smriti Mishra and Deepti Naval were enduring similar harassment.

The police found the calls were being made from Hyderabad and a team from the Bandra police station was sent to investigate.

He used to change his phone number every three days. By the time Police get the records of the number, he would have got a new one.

Finally police persuaded Smriti to help out. When Rehman called again, Mishra asked him to come to Mumbai. He was arrested at the Mastakar (Lotus) Petrol Pump near Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri (west).
