It seems that Asin, who is known to be friends with many of her colleagues in the industry, has now found a new friend. If sources are to be believed, the actress has been bonding with Smriti Irani, the newly appointed HRD minister, on the sets of Umesh Shukla's film, All is Well.
A source says, `Smriti, the latest addition to the film's star cast, was made to feel at home thanks to Asin's warm demeanour. The two have become good friends thanks to the time they spent together on the sets.`
Smriti apparently plays Asin's mother in the film and it seems that she has developed a genuine fondness for her onscreen daughter.
The source adds, `They have been seen bonding over lunch and long conversations on several occasions. In fact, when they were shooting in Mumbai, Smriti would get home-made Parsi food for Asin.
Recently, when they were shooting in Shimla, Smriti had to drive down to Delhi on election results day. When she returned to resume shooting, she brought with her a big box of boondi ladoos from Delhi because she knew that they are Asin's favourite.`
