A few days ago, Subhash Kapoor was shooting a sequence at Bhor in Pune for his film, Guddu Rangeela, when a group of more than 20 people allegedly belonging to the Shiv Sena came on the sets and asked them to stop shooting.
A source says, `Our shoot was already running late since Amit Sadh had met with an accident and injured his leg. In this particular scene, we needed to shoot on the road. After getting all the permissions we started shooting, but a couple of days ago this big group landed on the sets and asked us to pack up. We did as told as we didn't want to invite unnecessary trouble.`
It seems that the group was protesting against derogatory messages about Shivaji Maharaj that had been posted on a social networking site. `Later on, we got to know the reason behind their protest and realised that some parts had even witnessed stone pelting.
Thankfully, no such incident took place on the sets of our film,` says the source. The director confirmed the news. `I had to cancel more than a half day's shoot due to the protest,` he said.
