This seems to be yet another unique concept of Gajendra Singh of Saai Baba Telefilms, who is known to bring shows like SaReGaMa, Music ka Maha Muqabala, Voice of India as well as the last dance reality show on DD National, Bharat Ki Shaan - Rum Jhum.
Doordarshan has roped in celebrated choreographer Sandip Soparrkar who recently returned to India from his Cannes rendezvous as their judge along with Oo La La choreographer Pony Verma. The host of the show is well known RJ from Delhi, Aparshakti Khurana who is better known as the dynamic brother of Vicky Donor Ayushman Khurana. This show also introduces two new choreographers as the mentors for the contestants, Teja Dattani and Radhika Das. By bringing the internationally renowned Sandip as the jury it looks like Doordarshan is all ready to give the other dance reality shows a spin or two.
'Shooting maga audition episodes for Bharat ki Shaan - Let's Dance on Doordarshan, what amazing talent from all over India, I am shocked,' wrote Sandip on his Twitter and Facebook page. We are sure that Doordashan has left no stones unturned to bring the best of the best from all over the country on their dance floor which has put the twinkled toed dancer in a difficult spot. Pony Verma on the other hand posted a sweet picture of Sandip and herself on her facebook page announcing her entry as a judge besides him on the show.
It looks that Sandip and his judging skills have become hot favourite with Doordarshan as they have repeated him on the jury replacing Padma Vibhushan Dr. Sonal Mansingh. Is this dance show same as their previous season where Indian and non Indian dances had competed or is it a complete new concept? We tried to reach producer Gajendra Singh for more details but he was unavailable for comments and so were the renowned judges.
We hope that this stint of Sandip as a judge with Doordarshan is a welcome change just like his previous dance reality show 'Bharat ki Shaan - Rum Jhum', where he had brought varied dance forms from all over the world on the Indian television for the first time. Now let us look forward to what this show has to offer and to see the selection made by the two distinguished choreographers.
